Floyd County man threatened fellow resident with a sword

FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. – A Floyd County man was arrested after he threatened another man with a sword.
According to the Police report, On Monday April 17, 2023 at approximately 9:05pm, a Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was dispatched to a residential house in reference to an altercation involving a sword.
When the deputy arrived, the complainant and Kenneth Saxon were both outside and standing near a sword.
The complainant and Saxton both live at the residence with Saxton living in the downstairs apartment and the complainant living in the upstairs apartment.
Allegedly, the complainant had walked downstairs to find Saxton brandishing a sword and then Saxton took the sword and held it up to the neck of the complainant and threatened him with it.
Saxton told the deputy he was angry about and urn that hap been emptied but would not respond to direct questioning if he though the complainant had anything to do with it.
The deputy then followed up with questions to make sure he was aware of his surroundings and he was able to answer them without any trouble.
Saxton admitted to blocking the complainants way with the sword when he walked downstairs.
Saxton was placed under arrest and transported to the Floyd County Jail where he was booked in for aggravated assault.
