Drug arrest in Towns County

PRESS RELEASE – On May 16, 2023, Towns County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Deputy Darringer Barrett conducted a traffic stop on Highway 76 near The Ridges Resort.
K-9 Xena was deployed on a free air sniff of the vehicle and positively alerting on the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the confiscation of an amount of Methamphetamine which field tested positive, and drug paraphernalia.
Jennifer Lynn Caiazzo, age 31, Hayesville NC was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects.
