DADE COUNTY, Ga. – The Dade County Sheriff’s Office reported a series of drug and DUI enforcement actions over the weekend, resulting in multiple arrests and the seizure of illegal substances and a firearm.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies confiscated approximately 65 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of fentanyl, and a gun. Their enforcement efforts led to eight felony drug arrests and two DUI arrests. Deputies also responded to multiple calls for service throughout the weekend.
Sheriff Ray Cross said the results highlight the department’s ongoing efforts to curb drug activity and impaired driving in the county.
“Just another example of our deputies out keeping our community safe,” Cross said in a statement. “While we know they will never be able to eradicate all drugs and drunk drivers in our community, it’s clear that they are still willing to give it their all to try. A huge shout-out to our deputies for a job well done—especially Deputy K9 Zeus, who is an integral part of our mission to stamp out dope.”
The sheriff’s office said its deputies remain committed to daily enforcement efforts aimed at improving public safety.
