Catoosa County Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured Following Backyard Party Altercation

CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. – A late-night altercation at a Catoosa County residence turned deadly on Saturday, September 27, leaving one woman dead and another recovering from gunshot injuries, authorities report.

Shortly before 11:00 PM, deputies from the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a noise complaint at 541 Indian Springs Road. Upon arrival, officers encountered a chaotic scene involving more than ten individuals gathered in the yard.

According to preliminary reports, the situation escalated after an argument and physical altercation broke out among partygoers. As some suspects fled on foot, shots were fired. Deputies located two female victims who had been shot and immediately provided aid until emergency medical personnel arrived.

The victims were Identified as Daysha Lynch, 24 and Emma Lynch, 18.

Daysha succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.

while Emma remains in stable condition and is recovering.

Investigators say the suspects involved were known to individuals at the party. The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office has launched an ongoing investigation into the incident.
