Call of threats against a 14 year old victim turn into drug bust

PRESS RELEASE – On December 1, 2024, Towns County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 728 Twin Mountain Rd. in reference to threats against a 14 year old victim.

Once on the scene uniform patrol observed a vehicle located on the property with a male and female inside. When approached by uniform patrol they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

Identified in the vehicle was Ronald Shane Lowery who became irate and resisted deputies and arrest. Probable cause was determined and a search of the vehicle resulted in confiscation of an mount of marijuana from the vehicle.

Ronald Shane Lowery had previously been arrested on November 22, 2024 for felony possession of methamphetamine and drug related objects and released on December 1, 2024 with a $5,000.00 bond set by Magistrate.

Christine Lynn Cardona had previously been arrested on November 22, 2024 for drug related objects and released on November 24, 2024 with a $1,000.00 bond set by the Magistrate.

Ronald Shane Lowery is a member of the Ghost Face Gangsters which is know for violent criminal activity.

The following were charged and arrested in this latest incident on December 1, 2024

  • Ronald Shane Lowery, Hiawassee, GA-Willful obstruction of law enforcement officers X 2 and possession of marijuana less than an oz.
  • Christine Lynn Cardona, Hiawassee, GA -Willful obstruction of law enforcement officers and possession of marijuana less than an oz.
    Both are currently being held at the Towns County Detention Center with no bond.

All subjects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.
