Commerce man charged with aggravated child molestation

BANKS COUNTY, Ga. – After a preliminary investigation, a Commerce man was taken into custody on June 08, 2023, at approximately 4:30pm.

Initially, Banks County deputies conducted the traffic stop on Highway 59 in order to serve felony aggravated child molestation warrants.

However, Prior to the stop, deputies received information the suspect was possibly armed. After arresting the suspect, a firearm with multiple fully loaded magazines were located near the driver’s seat.

Samuel McDuffie, 60, is charged with Felony Aggravated Child Molestation.

This incident is still being thoroughly investigated and additional charges may be forthcoming.
