Blairsville man arrested in Forsyth County for Trafficking Methamphetamine

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. – On March 13th around 10:45pm a Forsyth County deputy observed a vehicle that was driving in the south end of the county cross the double yellow line multiple times.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as James Anderson of Blairsville, was also using a blue light as a tag light, which is not allowed.

The deputy lit him up and Anderson pulled over, blocking the entrance of a subdivision.

The deputy had to tell him several times over the PA to move his car as not to block the subdivision.

When the deputy approached the car, he smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car.

The deputy told Anderson that the marijuana wasn’t a big concern, but it was still illegal in the state of Georgia.

Anderson laughed and said he smoked in his car earlier that day.

When asked if anything other than marijuana would be found in the car and he said no.

The deputy searched the car and found 78.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine, over $2400 in cash, and drug related objects that included a digital scale, and packaging materials.

Anderson was also identified as a Ghostface Gangster gang member with an extensive drug history.

He was arrested for Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession Drug Related Objects, Failure to Maintain Lane and Illegal use of blue lights.
