Alzheimer’s Association to Host Family Caregiver Workshop

The Alzheimer’s Association will host a Family Caregiver Workshop from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday June 9, 2016, at the Alzheimer’s Association Community Outreach Center in Dalton (922 East Morris Street). Those in attendance will have the opportunity to learn from Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Susan Greene. Susan will present The Basics – Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s Disease. Other presentations will include Effective Communication, Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behavior, and Community Resources. There will be a time for caregiver questions. The Family Caregiver Workshop is free for family caregivers and includes lunch. Registration is required. Please call 1-800-272-3900 to register.
