Lady Rebels Soccer Will Host Sweet 16 Game VS Thomasville on Wednesday

The Fannin County Lady Rebels soccer team has been on an absolute tear this season, winning the Region 7AA crown and finishing the regular season with a 14-1 overall record.

In the first round of the Georgia High School Association AA Girls State Soccer Playoffs, Fannin County played host to Haralson County and came away with a 9-0 victory.

In the match with Haralson County, Mazie Gobel lead the team in scoring with 4 of the Rebels 9 goals.  Annabel Lillard tacked on 2 more goals for Fannin while Taylor Poland, Emma Richardson, and Stephanie Kirk also got themselves into the scorebook with a goal a piece. Rachel Jessen was in the net and was credited with 3 saves.

Up next for the Lady Rebels will be their “Sweet 16” matchup with Thomasville at home on Wednesday. The team here at FYNSports encourages all of the Fannin County faithful to get out to the field wednesday night and cheer on the Lady Rebels as they look to continue their stellar run and advance to the Elite 8.
