Fannin County Resident arrested in Gilmer County for drug trafficking

GILMER COUNTY, Ga. – The Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office released a statement regarding the arrest of a Fannin County resident for trafficking drugs.

According to GCSO, a multi-week investigation was conducted and resulted in the arrest of (Ardeo) Ray Monroe Moore, on December 4, 2023.

The investigation was a a joint operation between Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office, Fannin County Sheriff’s Office, Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force, and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.

Moore was arrested in Gilmer County and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine. Approximately 6 oz. of Methamphetamine was seized during a traffic stop by Gilmer County K9 Deputies.

“Information obtained in this investigation led officers back to a residence in Bartow County, Georgia. A Search Warrant was executed at the residence where nearly one pound (431.8 grams) of Methamphetamine was seized resulting in one arrest. Three additional individuals were arrested pursuant to traffic stops as they left the Bartow County ‘target house,’ one with possession of 12.7 grams of Cocaine and another with possession of 127.3 grams of Methamphetamine,” GCSO stated.

“Again, this is a great example of multiple law enforcement agencies in North Georgia working together to put drug dealers in jail,” Sheriff Nicholson stated
